Belarusian MFA speaks about dialogue with EU
It happened when the EU's representatives welcomed release of Andrei Sannikau and Zmitser Bandarenka.
MFA's spokesperson Andrei Savinykh has said to BELTA news agency that only on the basis of a dialogue it will be possible to stop the escalation in the relations between our country and the EU effectively. This is how the diplomat commented the statements of the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton and other foreign ministers of the European Union.
Speaking about release of political prisoners, Savinykh has noted that all processes in Belarus are happening in total correspondence with the country's legislation, not under the foreign pressure. According to him, the foreign pressure can only freeze development of the situation.
At the same time, Savinykh has expressed his hope that the EU will soon start negotiations with the official Minsk.
