Belarusian street cleaners dislike work in Russia
"You cannot even go to the toilet at work! Can you imagine it?" street cleaners who worked in Russia complain to Euroradio.
The street cleaners who went to work in Russia in spring have already come back!
"It is possible to find a job of a street clear in Russia?" I asked the company "Barouka" that has been sending street sweepers to Saint Petersburg starting from May.
The head of street cleaners Halina Mikalayeuna started dissuading me:
"There is enough work in Belarus! You can ask an employment bureau for assistance. You can go to Russia only if you have higher education and can find a good job there," said Halina Mikalayeuna.
"I do not know how much they got there, maybe about 10 thousand Russian roubles - about 3 million Belarusian roubles. Our street cleaners get 1.5 million roubles. But the working conditions were awful, you couldn't even go to the toilet the whole day and had to pay for meals."
By the way, there are a lot of vacancies for street cleaners in Minsk now. For example, housing and communal services centre #127 offers the wage of 2 or 2.5 millions for working from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. with a lunch break.
