"Belgorod shooter” lay low and sank his weapon (video)
The man suspected of murdering six people in the Russian city of Belgorod has stabbed a police major four times during detention.
31-year-old Sergei Pomazun was detained at a railway station in Belgorod, Russia, yesterday. He spent the whole day “lying low”, he told the police. He was wanted in Russia and the police did not exclude the possibility of him feeling to Ukraine either, RIA Novosti reports.
The police are looking for Pomazun’s weapon now. He said that he had sunk it (he used to claim that he had buried it). The criminal was reported to have the whole arsenal on him but only a knife was found. He stabbed major Yuryi Sedyh with it.
Sergei Pomazun who had many previous convictions brought down fire in a shop and continued shooting in the street on Monday. Five people including a seventh former died on the spot. A 16-year-old girl died in hospital later.
