Budimir: Situation I protested against has worsened
The famous blogger has not decided whether to stop his hunger-strike yet.
Blogger Budimir (Zmitser Halko) has been on hunger-strike for 17 days. Let us remind you that he is starving to express solidarity with political prisoner Mikita Lihavid and to demand to cancel his sentence – 3.5 years in a top-security colony. Budimir has given a live interview to Euroradio.
49-year-old inhabitant of Orsha Syarhei Malaletkin is planning to stop his hunger-strike at 8 p.m. today. He protested against the sentences pronounced to participants of Dec.19 events. He claimed that the hunger-strike would last for 15 days. Budimir did not set any terms for his action. However, political prisoners’ mothers have sent a telegram asking him to stop his hunger-strike.
"Besides the information background, nothing has changed. The situation I protested against has even worsened. That is why I have not decided whether I should stop, I will think about it”, - says Budimir.
A doctor will visit him today. However, the blogger notes that his health condition will not be the main reason to stop the hunger-strike.
