Byalyatski's wife not informed where her husband is
Natallia Pinchuk is going to Zhodzina on Monday in order to find out where human rights defender Ales Byalyatski is.
His wife still doesn't know whether her husband was sent to the colony from the Zhodzina pre-trial detention center. The lady called to the prison but they said they would not give such information by phone. Thus, she will have to come there in person and clarify the situation with the prison's administration on the spot, Natallia Pinchuk has told Radio Liberty.
After the Minsk city court declined Ales Byalyatski's appeal back in January, and the sentence came into force, he is supposed to be sent to the colony. According to the human rights defender's colleagues, it should have happened before February 10.
