Constitutional Court has doubts about “Pole’s card”
The Constitutional Court of Belarus has considered the correspondence of “the Poles’ card” to the standards of international law.
The appeal was sent to the Constitutional Court by Belarusian deputies who discussed “the Polish issue” after Dec.19 events. Let us remind you that Alyaksandr Lukashenka accused the official Warsaw of preparation of a coup d'etat in Belarus after the election.
A representative of the Constitutional Court claimed on April 7 that certain norms of the Polish law “On the Pole’s card” did not correspond to certain standards of international law. It is not clear how the court’s position may affect the issue of “Pole’s cards” to Belarusian citizens in the future.
