Court denies to release Uladzislau Kavalyou from custody
Stanislau Abrazej, Kavalyou's lawyer, filed a corresponding request today.
The lawyer is convinced that there are no objective proofs of Kavalyou's guilt in the materials of the case. Abrazej has noted that the records were taken out of the observation cameras without attesting witnesses. Therefore, the lawyer of defence has suggested that Uladzislau Kavalyou should be released from custody.
The lawyer has mentioned his client's positive references. He has also said that Uladzislau told about the pressure committed by the investigatos against him at the stage of the preliminary investigation.
However, according to the information provided by BELTA, thecourt has declined this request. The judge has explained that Kavalyou is accused of participartion in severe crimes which caused death of people.
The accusation has noted that the law does not prescribe taking out video records in the presence of attesting witnesses.
