European Parliament to discuss death penalty in Belarus on February 16
The death sentence pronounced to Uladzislau Kanavalau and Dzmitry Kavalyou is the reason for it.
BelaPAN informs that besides Belarus, the death penalty in Egypt and Japan will also be discussed in Strasbourg. Corresponding resolutions for the three countries will be adopted after a one-hour discussion.
Let us remind you that the death sentence was pronounced to Kanavalau and Kavalyou by the Supreme Court on November 30, 2011. The 25-year-old Vitsebskers were returned guilty of the terrorist act in Minsk metro and a number of other blasts.
