Homel REI trade union applies for solidarity pickets

The activists of the independent trade union of the radio-electronic industry in Homel region have filed 15 applications to local authorities asking permit to conduct solidarity pickets. 

The planned pickets are aimed at declaration of protest against harassment of the ex-presidential candidates, as well as their electoral HQs' members. The action is appointed on February 23 and is planned to be in the form of pickets in all big district centers of the region and in Homel at an open square near "Hippo" supermarket at Rechytsa highway.

A legal inspector of the REI trade union in Homel region Leanid Sudalenka has informed to Praca-by.info about this.

"We wish to conduct an action in order to declare our attitude to what is happening in the country after the presidential election. The country has turned into a prison - searches, interrogations, arrests, outrageous violations of human rights, violations of both international norms and Belarusian laws. We want to turn the public's attention to these facts. People should think about the conditions they are living in", - Leanid Sudalenka has said.
