Lukashenka ready to sell "Beltransgas" to Russia
Leader of "Gasprom" Alyaksej Miler has told that after the meeting with the Belarusian leader.
Leader of "Gasprom" Alyaksej Miler has stated that the Belarusian and the Russian sides are practically ready to sign a set of documents to sell 50% of "Beltransgas" shares to the Russian gas monopolist. He has also told that they agreed upon shipments of the Russian gas to Belarus since 2012, ВВС informs.
"Gasprom" already bought 50% of "Beltransgas" shares in 2007 for 2,5 billion dollars. The sum of the new bargain has not been disclaimed yet, but, previously, the representatives of the Russian side claimed their readiness to buy the rest of the shares for 2,5 billion dollars as well. The Belarusian side stated that this bargain is possible only if Moscow and Minsk agree on gas prices for 2012.
