Lukashenka's decree: Transport department of Ministry of Internal Affairs
The state leader has signed the decree "On Belarusian institutions of internal affairs".
The decree reforms the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In particular, the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been abolished. Its functions will be fulfilled by the chief department of Internal Affairs of Minsk City Executive Committee and regional executive committees.
The Minister of Internal Affairs will get new powers. He will be able to create a public council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and approve the Police professional ethics rules, etc.
The decree will come into power on April 1, 2013, BELA reports.
