Lyavon Volski's concert is cancelled
The building in Pushkin Avenue, 28a has been sealed up.
Saxophonist Pavel Arakelyan was going to take part in the concert too.
The Emergency Control Ministry closed the building a day before the concert. The owner of the building was summoned on September 27 and the door was sealed up, art director of "Art Manour" Pavel Belavus told Radio Liberty.
Mr. Belavus thinks that the authorities reacted to the concert advertisement that appeared on the website generation.by. The owner of the building has cancelled the contract with "Art Manor" and it got closed before it could be opened.
“Art Manor" is not a political project. It is an educational and cultural project. But Belarusian-speaking participants and their activity "has scared" the authorities, thinks Pavel Belavus.
