Mahilyou opposition to conduct meeting against price increase
Democrats have sent the corresponding application to the City Executive Committee.
12 representatives of political, civil and trade union organizations of the city have signed the application. They are planning to conduct the meeting in the deserted area indicated by the authorities on June 9 – the stadium in Chalyuskintsau Street, 64V.
The leader of Mahilyou regional coalition of the democratic forces Yury Novikau says that they will protest against price increase, inflation and the dropping living standard. More than 1000 people will take part in the meeting.
Novikau has claimed that democrats do not want to provoke the authorities and leave people vulnerable so they have decided to abstain from meetings in more populated areas.
