Maya Kocijancic: Consultations about ambassadors’ return are in process now
Spokesperson of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton says that the decision has not been made yet.
Let us remind you that the agency “France Presse” informed yesterday referring to its own sources that Catherine Ashton had claimed that the EU Ambassadors would return to Minsk before the summit of the Council of the EU where possible economic sanctions would be discussed on March 23.
Maya Kocijancic: "We did not make any public statement about the day when the Ambassadors would return. Of course, if the corresponding decision is made, we will announce it”.
According to her, consultations about the Ambassadors’ return to Minsk are in process now. Maya Kocijancic cannot present more information at the moment.
Let us remind you that the EU recalled its ambassadors at the end of February in response to Minsk’s decision to recall its representative in the EU and Ambassador to Poland. The EU Representative in Minsk and the Polish Ambassador to Belarus were asked to leave for their capitals for consultations.
