Hockey: Dynama Minsk dismisses manager Kari Heikkilä
Belarus ice hockey federation has approached Dynamo's former coach Marek Sikora seeking his return to Minsk.
The decision to dismiss Heikkilä was taken by the club's supervisory board on October 12.
Dynama's four consecutive losses in KHL appeared to have sentenced the Finish specialist to sacking, as the board described the club's performance as unsatisfactory.
Alyaksandr Andryyeuski will train Dynama players as an interim. Former chief manager Marek Sikora was asked to return to Minsk from the Czech Republic, the website of HC Dynama reports.
Heikkilä is also the manager of Belarus national team. It is not clear whether he will keep the position.
