Musician displays his granddad's independent Belarus passport (in pictures)
95th anniversary of Belarusian People's Republic (BPR) is marked today
BPR passports are usually preserved in Belarusian and foreign government archives. You rarely run across them in private collections, because it was very risky to keep them at home in the Soviet times.
But the passport of Vasil Akhramovich, the grandfather of Belarusian musician Siarhei Akhramovich (Narodny Album), has survived in a very good condition.
