Only Lukashenka can recognize independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia
The Belarusian Parliament will not discuss the problem of recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia during the winter session.
According to the head of the international affairs commission of the House of Representatives Ihar Karpenka, only Alyaksandr Lukashenka is the competent authority in the issue. “According to the legislation and Constitution, the President is authorized to recognize the independence of states”, - noted Karpenka.
