Organizers to make themselves heard during Chernobyl Way
The opposition will conduct the street action without loudspeaker equipment.
Minsk City Executive Committee has not added any notes about loudspeaker equipment to the appeal for Chernobyl way regardless of the organizers’ requests. Head of BPF Party Alyaksei Yanukevich told Euroradio:
“They do not think that they should help with loudspeaker equipment although they do not create any formal obstacles.”
However, even if organizers manage to rent loudspeaker equipment, it usually does not reach its destination anyway because the police create obstacles.
Traditional Chernobyl way will be organized in Minsk today. It will use the Freedom Day itinerary: people will gather near the cinema October at 6.30 p.m. and the meeting will finish in Bangalore Square.
