Organizers of tournament in Poland do not comment the flag incident
The white-red-white flag was removed upon request of the Belarusian team. Polish media found this out from non-official sources.
Let us remind you, the incident took place on June 25 at the EuroBasket Women-2011 tournament in Poland. Belarusian fans hoisted the white-red-white flag. The organizers sent the group of fans away after they had refused to remove the flag.
One of the organizers Zbignew Szpilewski has commented to "Gazeta Wyborcza" that he is not authorized to answer such questions. He was the one who talked to the fans.
Activists of FIBA Europe took the decision to remove the symbols which were not recognized by the official authorities.
