A party membership card and "fascist" condoms found in Brest (photo)

"We were dismounting an old building which was constructed before the war - a house and a shed in Ploskaya street in the area of the old cemetery, — Alyaksandr tells about an unusual finding. — There were many things in the attic. A big apparatus for home-made alcohol, which was almost rotten, a horseshoe from the Polish times, wrought Polish nails. Among all this stuff we found many packets with condoms".

The majority of them were in packets made of paper, says Alyaksandr. There were the following signs on the packets, in German: “Blue Stamp” (probably a brand - Euroradio) “Golden (or: gold — Euroradio). Guaranteed, made of natural pure rubber”.

Alyaksandr says that the former host of the house, an old man, came to the yard. He said that German military men lived in the house during the war. The hosts were ousted to the dug-out located near the house.

The things were lying in the corner, covered with straw, added Alyaksandr. They checked the signs on the packets, looked for gold but in vain. However, they also found hidden documents which belonged to the time closer to ours, among them - a Soviet Union Communist party membership card.
