Policemen hunt for bulletins of "For Fair Elections" campaign
Hrodna activists of the party "Fair World" Pavel Staneuski and Victar Mihalchyk have been affected by this hunt.
They were transporting bulletins of "For Fair Elections" by car on July 11. The car was stopped by the driving inspectorate on the territory of Dzyarzhynsk District, informs the human rights website "Viasna".
The driving inspector said that the car had been noticed near a robbed house and demanded to open the boot. Having noticed printed materials inside, he phoned someone. Then he said that specialists would arrive. They had to wait for them for about an hour.
“The specialists” asked Mihalchyk and Staneuski for explanations and counted the printed materials. The detained activists were delivered to Fanipal and then - to Dzyarzhynsk. Their car was delivered to an impound lot to study the details.
The activists are going to complain about the actions of Dzyrzhynsk police.
