Polish Sejm urges to release political prisoners in Belarus
The Polish Parliament has adopted the statement today, on March 2.
The Sejm has urged MEPs to support the Belarusian civil community, notes BelaPAN.
The document says that the dramatic civil and political situation in Belarus, including the wave of political repressions that started after the rigged presidential election in December 2010, requires European solidarity.
Polish MPs also demand to release Belarusian human rights defender Ales Byalyatski and support the idea of awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to him.
