Political prisoner Edward Lobau meets with his mother
It was a short-term meeting, for two hours only. The mother and the son talked through the glass.
The lady was surprised that they had given
permit for the meeting, as, according to Edward, he had been punished for
violation of discipline and partly deprived of meetings. However, his
punishment was just limitation of the sum of money which a prisoner is allowed
to have at his account, Radio Liberty informs.
Edward Lobau was
sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment under accusation of hooliganism. According
to the court, he had allegedly beaten passers-by in Minsk together with Zmitser
Dashkevich. It happened the day before the presidential election. The "victims"
gave evidence in court with their faces hidden from the public. Lobau and
Dashkevich stated that the special forces had provoked the fight.
