Red Cross to try to send medicines to Syarhei Kavalenka

Alena Kavalenka visited Mahilyou colony #19 to send medicines, food and vitamins to her husband. The administration confirmed that the imprisoned opposition member has been released from the detention centre where he had spent 10 days on June 28. They allowed her to send him food, but not medicines. The head of the medical unit only allowed to send vitamins and four types of medicines although there were 11 types of medicines on the list, said Alena Kavalenka to BelaPAN.

Then political prisoner's wife is trying to send the medicines with the help of the Red Cross now. She has also asked the organization to help her husband go through a full medical check-up.
