Senators to consider draft bill on mass events no earlier than Oct.20
They are not going to hold a special meeting and will wait till the beginning of the session.
The senators will be able to consider the draft bill "Law on amendments to the Law on Mass Events" on October 20. Head of the Council of Republic's press-center Leanid Matrashyla has informed this to Euroradio.
Leanid Matrashyla: “There will be a session of the Presidium which will decide on the agenda and on the time for consideration. The next session is planned to take place on October 20”.
The senators are not going to hold an extraordinary session in order to consider just this draft bill, says Matrashyla. Thus, the soonest possible way to adopt it is to consider it on the first day of the planned session.
Let us remind you, amendments to the law were adopted by the members of the House of Representatives in the evening on October 3 in two readings at a time. A press-conference dedicated to this issue is expected to take place in the House of Representatives this afternoon.
