“Serious consequences” for participation in Maladzechna National Assembly
Warnings have been pronounced to employees of some enterprises on the eve of November 12 – the day of the National Assembly.
Uladzimir Ivanou, director for Maladzechna clothes company “Yunona” has told his subordinates that they are forbidden to visit the Central Square of the city on Saturday. Otherwise, they will be fired on Monday. Many people were surprised at the interdiction but nobody gave them any explanations, informs the human rights centre “Vyasna”.
By the way, Maladzechna is not on the list for cities where National Assemblies were organized in the past.
Employees of “Minsk Furniture Centre” have not been threatened openly, but some “hints” have been made. Information that the names of everyone noticed in the square on Saturday will be sent to the director has been distributed among them.
