Stanislau Shushkevich detained at Lithuanian border
The ex-speaker of the Supreme Council was in a train, returning from Vilnius where he participated in the Communuity of Democracies' forum.
The politician has informed to Radio Liberty, that the frontier guards took his passport as they had doubts whether it was true. A group of EHU students was also detained. The guards took their passports as well and explained nothing.
Mr. Shushkevich considers his detention illegal and thinks it is connected with tomorrow's Independence Day and possible protest actions.
