"Tell the Truth!” launches “People’s Solidarity” campaign
The aim of the campaign is to draw attention to the problem of political prisoners in Belarus and to appeal for actions of solidarity.
One of the coordinators of the civil campaign “Tell the Truth!” Andrei Dzmitryyeu has claimed it at a press conference in Minsk today.
"We have launched the civil campaign “People’s Solidarity” today. Applications for pickets of solidarity on March 19 and 25 will be sent in 12 Belarusian cities today”, - he informed. According to the politician, activists of “Tell the Truth!” are going to exercise national “internal pressure” on the Belarusian authorities in order to release political prisoners and to oppose to the deception campaign of state mass media.
Dzmitryyeu has informed journalists that offices of “Tell the Truth!” have been preserved in 20 Belarusian cities and that they will join the mentioned campaign tomorrow.
