"Tell the Truth!" starts meetings with persons named in Square case
A meeting of 10 persons named in the "Dec. 19 case" took place in Minsk on April 14 upon the initiative of the "Tell the Truth!" campaign.
Politicians, accused of organization and preparation of actions which severely violate public order, and their families took part in the meeting.
One of the participants of the meeting - Siarhej Vazniak - has told Euroradio about this.
Vazniak: “There are ten persons named in the case, but only eight came. There was myself, Dzmitryeu, Fiaduta, Nasta Palazhanka, Vital Rymasheuski. Three representatives sent their relatives - there was Iryna Khalip's mother, Siarhej Martsaleu's mother, and Zmitser Bandarenka's wife. Paval Sieviarynets' family couldn't come. Volha Nyaklyaeva planned to come but she felt bad, called and apologised for not coming”.
According to Vazniak, the ex-candidates' teams should create a common center which would coordinate help after December 19 events.
"Tell the Truth!" campaign has an intention to conduct a series of such meetings of persons named in the "Dec.19 case" and their families. Problems which are importatnt for the political prisoners will be discussed at these meetings.
