Victoria Azaranka makes it to Olympics semi-final
The Belarusian tennis player defeated Germany's Angelique Kerber in two sets: 6:4, 7:5.
Victoria won the very first serve of the
German, but she made a return break in the middle of the set. The first set
lasted for about an hour.
In
the second set, the Belarusian tennis-player made three breaks, and the German
answered to this with three breaks also. Moreover, during the 10th game
Azaranka had three match balls at her own serve, but she lost her serve for the
third time. Kerber and Azaranka exchanged taken serves. In the next game,
Victoria made the fourth break at Kerber's serve and won the whole match.
In
the semi-final, Victoria Azaranka will play against the winner of the game
Serena Williams vs Caroline Wozniacki.
