Victoria Azarenka – fifth in WTA rankings
The Belarusian tennis player won a tournament in Spanish Marbella the other day.
Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka has gone up to the fifth position in the new WTA rankings today (she was in the sixth position a week ago). Azarenka has scored 4630 points and has 24 more points that Samantha Stosur from Australia. Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark remains the leader with 9930 points.
The Belarusian is in the 4th position in the champions’ race – behind Wozniacki, Belgian Kim Clijsters and Russian Vera Zvonaryova.
Speaking about the other female Belarusian tennis players’ rankings, let us note that Nastassya Yakimava has preserved the 98th position. Volha Havartsova who was 86th a week ago is 117th now.
