Yanukevich: Election date is good for agitation
People return home from summer houses and vacations at the end of August.
Alyaksei Yanukevich, head of the BPF Party, thinks that elections during autumn rains and winter frost would be much worse.
Yanukevich: “It takes the whole month of September and it is okay. August is an off season. Maybe the last week of August is not. Speaking about the weather, there will be no problems, it is not 30 degrees below zero. People usually come back home in the last week of August. So, we see no problem about it".
The head of the BPF Party is going to run for MP. Yanukevich admits that people are not going to be interested in politics and elections regardless of the season. But the politician hopes that economic problems will make Belarusians listen to candidates.
