Representative of official Minsk conducted secret negotiations in Berlin
The Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Syarhei Martynau conducted secret negotiations in Berlin.
Neither of the countries has commented on it so far. An anonymous source in the German Ministry of Foreign Affaires only agreed to confirm the very fact of the meeting that took place on February 10.
It is known that Martynau met a group of German deputies and higher representatives of the German foreign policy institution.
A Bundestag deputy, the head of the sub-committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Uta Zapf considers the meeting of Martynau in Berlin as “a sign of readiness for a dialogue with the European Union”.
