Representatives of EU, EP and PACE to arrive in Belarus
EU's Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service, Helga Schmid, is already in Minsk.
This week, representatives of the European Union, the European Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) plan to visit Belarus, reports BelaPAN quoting the chairman of the United Civil Party, Anatol Lyabedzka. The politician said that he will meet with PACE Rapporteur Andrea Rigoni and deputy chairman of the Group of the European People's Party in the European Parliament Sandra Kalnietse.
The meeting with Kalnietse scheduled for February 27, is expected to be attended by the BPF leaders Alyaxei Yanukevich, For Freedom movement leader Alyaksandr Milinkevich, the Tell the Truth civil campaign leader Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, co-chair of the organizing committee and the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, Paval Sevyarynets.
According to Lyabedzka, Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service, Helga Schmid is also on a visit to Minsk on February 23-24. The politician was to meet with her on February 24. However, this meeting, says Lyabedzka, was canceled for unknown reasons.
