Kremlin cancels Russia-Ukraine talks in Minsk

Ukraine's acting deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Deshchitsa told the news to Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday. He had agreed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Larvov about the meeting, he said. The meeting was scheduled but Russia claimed on March 31 that its representative Karasin would not be able to attend the meeting in Minsk on April 4.

Ukraine will look for other ways to establish contacts, Deshchitsa said. However, they have not agreed on any other date of the meeting with the Russian foreign policy chief. Deshchitsa and Lavrov first met at the Nuclear Security Summit in the Hague on March 24.
