Russia prepares 1 billion dollars for Belarus – Minister of Finance M.Korbut
Belarus may get the long-suffering Russian credit this year. The Belarusian Minister of Finance Mikalai Korbut has informed about it. Let us remind you that the Belarusian government started asking Russia for a 1 billion dollar credit at the beginning of this year when the price for gas had risen.
However Russia took its time before giving out the credit, studied the Belarusian economic climate and demanded various documents from Minsk.
According to Korbut, Russia has added the credit issue to the budget discussion and the sum has been increased. “Thus, Russian budget will probably dispose of the necessary sum to allocate 1 billion dollars to Belarus this year”, - he added.
Belarus is expected to get 500 millions more from Russia next year.
