Russia's food watchdog to allow products from two Belarus meat-packers
The access of the other enterprises to the Russian market will not be established quickly.
The Russian agricultural inspectorate may allow meat supplies from a number of Belarusian enterprises, head of the Russian inspectorate Sergey Dankvert said.
"Two enterprises may get the permission on certain conditions. The conditions will be discussed tomorrow,” TASS quotes him. The main condition for the return of Belarusian meat to the Russian market is control over the quality and safety of products in Belarus, Dankvert stressed.
The process will not be quick, he added.
Russia imposed restrictions on the meat supplies of about two dozen Belarusian enterprises. Microbiological contamination, antibiotics and the genome of African swine fever were found in their products.
