Russian Embassy asks to release all detained Russians

Representatives of the Russian Embassy have met five Russian citizens arrested in Minsk. However, a photo reporter of a Saint Petersburg newspaper “My District” Alexander Astafiyev was not among them. The editorial office of the newspaper has informed RIA “Novosti” that there was “some confusion regarding the whereabouts of the detained people”.

Russian diplomats were promised an opportunity to meet the other detain Russian citizens in the afternoon today.

The Russian Embassy has sent a letter to the Belarusian authorities asking them to release all the detained Russian citizens.
