Russia's Ambassador: Loan for Minsk possible in exchange for integration
Minsk is seeking a $2 billion loan from Moscow
Russia's Ambassador in Minsk Alexander Surikov has told in an interview to BelaPAN news agency that Belarus can get a credit for modernization of integration projects. Otherwise, it will be difficult to get the money.
Surikov has clarified that there can be different options for provision the credit to Belarus, for instance, the inter-state level or the banks' line.
The diplomat has also said that the Russian side already approved the mutual projects which can be financed. These are setting up a joint enterprise on the basis of the automobile plants MAZ and KAMAZ, the projects with participation of the Minsk plant of wheeled running gear, "Grodno Azat", and "Integral".
