Sapelka: “Sannikau looks severely beaten”
Andrei Sannikau’s lawyer Pavel Sapelka managed to meet him on the evening of December 20. The politician looks very bad, said the lawyer to Euroradio. Sapelka: “He looks severely beaten. His mother tried to bring him living essentials today – they were not accepted. She was informed yesterday (December 21. – ERB) that Andrei was not in the KGB centre at all”.
According to the lawyer, the politician has a problem with his leg – it is either injured or dislocated. It is difficult to say anything because the politician has not even been diagnosed. Furthermore, he was hit on his head a lot and the traces of it are evident, says the lawyer.
The lawyer has submitted a petition asking to send Andrei Sannikau to a medical check-up to assess the extent of the physical injuries. Sapelka says that he will complain to the Office of the Public Prosecutor on the basis of the check-up. He will try to subject the people who “used force against Sannikau for no reason” to responsibility.
