They are going to ask the Constitutional Court to assess the law.
The Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada) will be collecting signatures against the so-called freeloaders’ tax. According to the law, all the people who have been unemployed for over 6 months must pat the annual tax of Br3.6. million (20 base amounts).
The party is planning to collect signatures in the streets and on the Internet, deputy head of the party Ihar Barysau told Euroradio.
Ihar Barysau: "All the others may join the initiative. We have our structures in the provinces, there are activists there. We can mobilize them and collect signatures. We will see how many citizens decide to pay the tax in August.”
The party is preparing to ask the Constitutional Court to assess the correspondence of the law to the Constitution, Baruysau added.
