Strangers attack election campaign participant Ramanchuk
The police have started a criminal case in connection with the attack against Artsyom Ahafonau.
The incident occurred on Friday, September 3, when the UCP activist was on his way home in Smalyavichy. He was kicked in the back. Strangers robbed him of two notebooks. They did not take his purse and cell phone.
As Ahafonau informed in an interview with ERB, the criminals only needed his bag.
Ahafonau: "Two people kicked me in the back, grabbed my bag and fled. The people who beat me were well-prepared and good at combat. The police are working and trying to find them, I cannot reproach them of anything”.
Meanwhile, a presidential contender Yaraslau Ramanchuk thinks that the attack is an act of pressure against a participant of his campaign. Ahafonau is involved in Ramanchuk’s pre-election campaign on the Internet.
The United Civil Party has made an announcement in connection with the attack against Ahafonau. The political council of the party thinks that this is a manifestation of the coercive approach to the pre-election campaign and urges security agencies to refuse from it.
