Tsіhanovіch would give the rock crown to Palats, and Yarmolenka – to Krama and Neuro Dubel
On the eve of “Rock Coronation 2007” ERB decoded to ask famous Belarusian pop singers to find out which rock band was worthy of getting the biggest Belarusian rock prize this year. Іryna Darafeeva thinks that the band whose songs are pleasant to listen to should get the crown on February 29. She named bands she liked to listen to.
Іryna Darafeeva: “I personally like listening to “New Jerusalem”. I also like J:MORS and “Krama”.
The singer did not mention the band that deserved the rock crown. However, she boasted that she listened to songs of Belarusian rockers quite often in one of radio stations. But she only heard “Ledakoly” by J:MORS out of the 6 nominees for “The best song of the year”. She does not want to sing rockers’ songs with them. She says she has her own songs sounding like rock.
Іna Afanasyeva complained she did not know much about rockers. She is missing the times when rockers and pop stars used to perform on the same stage. She thinks that J:MORS, “Lyapis Trubyatski” and “Krama” deserved the rock crown.
Іna Afanaseva: “I like J:MORS and “the Lyapises”. Their songs are always interesting. I have attended a presentation of “Krama” recently and I liked it very much. The music, the arrangement, the lyrics. I think N.R.M. is somewhat detached. “beZ bileta” are really extraordinary. All these bands deserve a rock crown”.
The singer did not name the song that deserved to be called the best song of 2007. She said that all the 6 nominees were worthy of it. However, she noted that she would be pleased to sing “Krama”’s “All life is a wonderful dream”.
Іna Afanasyeva: “There is a very beautiful song about a dream in the latest “Krama”’s album. I would like to and I would be able to sing that song”.
Alyaksandr Tsіhanovіch thinks that the crown should be given to “Palats” this year.
Alyaksandr Tsіhanovіch: “I like the “Palats” band very much. They are dedicated professionals. I think they should get it”.
He heard “Ledakoly” by J:MORS and “Krai” by Neuro Dubel out of all the nominees. He did not indicate the best song. And he added that he could sing songs of any Belarusian band if he was offered to choose a song by Belarusian rockers.
Alyaksandr Tsіhanovіch: “I can sing any song they are presenting. However, the way it will sound will depend on the arrangement and our creativity”.
Larysa Hrybaleva confessed to ERB that she liked “Krama” and “Neuro Dubel” but would give the crown to J:MORS.
Larysa Hrybaleva: “I heard “beZ bileta”, “Krama”, and “Neuro Dubel”. I like them very much but no one could match J:MORS this year”.
We asked her what rockers’ song she would like to sing and she complained about “Neuro Dubel”. She said she had been asked to take part in a project where pop singers were supposed to perform songs of rock bands. She did not only agree, she even prepared the song “Gagarin”. However, everything died off. So she did not tell us what song she could sing.
Anatol Yarmolenka says it was necessary to look through everything the bands did to define “Rock Kings”. He would vote for “Krama” and “Neuro Dubel”.
Anatol Yarmolenka: “Varashkevich and his band could get it, “Neuro Dubel” could also do it. It is necessary to collect everything bands or singers did and to look through it”.
