Two young people with white-red-white flag detained in Mahilyou
One of them covered his shoulders with the Belarusian national flag while the other was wearing a white-red-white ribbon that looked like
a necktie.
Valyantsin Lobachau, a member of the Young Front, and his friend Uladzislau Horki were detained near the Central Communal Services House at 8.30 p.m. Policemen led them to the police office and drew up a report of their interrogation.
The young people spent an hour and a half in the police office. The flag was taken away for a check-up and they had to give explanations. Valyantsin Lobachau said that he was wearing the white-red-white necktie as a flicker to be noticeable at night. Uladzislau Horki said that he just wanted to walk in the city muffled in the white-red-white flag because he thought that it was a democratic country and added that he did not understand according to which law they had confiscated the flag.
By the way, the policemen promised to give the flag back, informs BelaPAN.
