Ukrainian government allocates $1.5 million to prevent its land from passing to Belarus
The Ukrainian government has allocated about 1.5 million dollars to reinforce the banks of the Dnieper in Chernigov Region where 660 hectares of Ukrainian land may soon pass to Belarus due to the changes of the river-bed.
According to the Regnum agency, works have already begun in Repkinski District. Specialists from “Chernigov water construction” work there.
Let us remind you that the main office of the Emergency Control Ministry in Chernigov Region asked the Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yuliya Timoshenko to allocate the money.
