Ukrainian police trying to break into Belarusian opposition member’s flat
Kiev policemen are trying to break into the flat of a Belarusian opposition member Alyaksandr Tsynkevich, an accredited journalist of “Narodnya Volya”. A Ukrainian website pro.UA informs about it. Tsynkevich has told policemen that he is a foreign citizen and that there are small children in the flat. Tsynkevich is ready to contact the police in the presence of the Belarusian consul.
Policemen claim that the journalist’s home phone number is mentioned in the case connected with the appearance of false issues of the “Kommersant” edition in the Crimea in October.
Fake issues of the Russian newspaper were distributed in several Crimean cities back then. It was aimed at discrediting the Crimean Prime Minister, the leader of the local affiliate of the Party of Regions Vasili Dzharta.
