Ukrainians solve "chupakabra" mystery
An unknown animal was killed while it was hunting ducks in Zaporizhye region in Ukraine.
The owner of a small farm killed "chupakabra". he passed the corpse to biologists and they came up with a conclusion that it was a raccoon dog, informs the website fakty.ua
"This is a young male of a raccoon dog," said Anatol Volakh, Doctor of Biological Sciences of the Tavria Agro-Technolocical University.
Raccoon dogs were bred in the collective farms in USSR back in 1939 for their furs. When the war started, all animals were set free. A raccoon dog is a predator but it also consumes plants, ююю and food waste.
Recently, a very similar animal was killed in Belarus, in Dokshytsy district.
