Victar Tsiareshchanka gives testimony on Square events in KGB
The presidential candidate has told about it to Euroradio. He was interrogated with regard to December 19 events.
Tsiareshchanka has informed that the interrogation lasted for several hours and ended at about 8 p.m. According to the candidate, it was a very complicated conversation, the KGB investigators asked many questions. There were no face-to-face interrogations involving the "mass disturbances" detainees and Tsiareshchanka. However, he does not exclude they may take place in the next few days. The politician was summoned for an interrogation back on December 22. He signed an obligation of confidentiality.
According to Tsiareshchanka, signs saying "Interrogation in process" were at every door of the investigation committee, where he was interrogated.
Let us remind you, the presidential candidate spent some time at the Kastrychnitskaya Square when he was going from his electoral HQ to the Belarusian Television, on December 19. He participated in the "Choice" talk-show. He saw the dispersal of the peaceful demonstration at the Independence Square in the TV-studio. According to him, what happened there was brutal with regard to the people.
Speaking about the election results, Tsiareshchanka noted that the vote counting procedure still leaves a lot of questions. He does not exclude he may claim the election results in the CEC. At least, a corresponding application is being prepared.
As for plans for the future, the presidential candidate is going to take a rest from politics for a week. However, he does not exclude that he may be back to this very sphere. " I would like Belarus to be a democratic country", - Tsiareshchanka has said.
