Video has emerged of Chinese workers breaking the police cordon near the Belarusian city of Dobrush. It happened as back as July 2. About 200 Chinese workers out of a thousand working on the construction of the paperboard mill in Dobrush protested against the delay in their salary payment and set out on foot to Homiel. They demanded a meeting with the Chinese ambassador. As a result, they were persuaded to return. Since then, conflicting information emerged about whether they were paid money or not. However, according to Radio Liberty, the Chinese workers from Dobrush never received their salaries and are ready to protest again.
The video shows how the Belarusian police and special forces (some wearing helmets) are trying to stop the column of Chinese still in Dobrush. However, they failed, the Chinese broke through and went in the direction of the regional center. Later, the Belarusian law enforcers only accompanied the column.
