Yarmoshyna: Female candidates have little chance of success
The CEC chairperson has given an interview to Belarus 1.
CEC chairperson took part in the programme Close Up on Belarus 1. The future presidential election was discussed there. Yarmoshyna shared her opinion about potential female presidential candidates:
"There are nice girls. I wish them good and happiness. But I think that they have little chance of success.”
There were 24 presidential candidates in 4 presidential election campaigns in Belarus, she reminded. She thinks that there may be up to 10 candidates this year. There were 10 candidates in 2010.
Civil activists Tatstsyana Karatkevich and Alena Anisim are among the possible presidential candidates this year.
The presidential election is expected to be held in Belarus on November 15. This is the most likely date, the CEC announced.
